St Pete Beach Communities

Available St. Pete Beach Homes and Condos

If you’re looking for a single-family home in St. Pete Beach or any of the nearby Gulf Beach communities, chances are you plan on putting down roots, at least for part of the year . . . and that’s great – because St. Pete Beach and its neighboring communities have everything you need for raising children, pursuing an active career or simply retiring in comfort and style.

A smidgeon of local lore: Years earlier St. Pete Beach was one of four beach towns on the area’s southernmost island on the Gulf. Then, in 1957 all four towns on this narrow strip of land joined to form the incorporated City of St. Pete Beach more or less as we know it today. And, yes, it really is St. “Pete” (not “Petersburg”) Beach, ever since residents said so with their votes in 1994.

The “City” part is correct, as well. Although St. Pete Beach has only about 10,000 residents and encompasses less than 20 square miles (17.6 of which is water), we have a City Hall, elected mayor, city commission and city manager, our own modern fire and police departments, parks and recreation facilities, an excellent library, churches, local schools - everything but urban sprawl. And of course we enjoy all the benefits of being in giant Pinellas County (population over 900,000) and just minutes from the major cities of St. Petersburg, Clearwater and Tampa (metro population 1.2 million).

But who needs statistics? Like most beach communities, St. Pete Beach is all about ambience – great weather year-round, miles of white sand beaches, boating on the Gulf and inland waterways, and friendly residents and tourists.
